Business Development Manager in Contract Logistics

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business for the company through active approaching of new customers and defining new market segments
  • Develop a new business prospect listing to ensure that future new business development is planned in advance
  • Development of logistics/SCM consulting expertise and know-how
  • Project management of internal and external consulting projects
  • Coordination of market-oriented logistics/SCM strategy development
  • Concepts and active role for Contract Logistics marketing and PR
  • Maintain close communication with customer and operations team
  • Organize regular meetings with the client and relevant operations staff
  • Manage project organisation and implementation
  • Generate and distribute specific reports as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with contract logistics business
  • Acquired higher education in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Ability to visualize and document requirements
  • Confidence in undertaking presentations to the vast number of people
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical skills to review both financial and operational data
  • Structured thinking and ability to work with complex/unclear issues
  • Customer-oriented team player
  • Self-motivation and proactiveness
  • Fluent in Latvian, English and Russian
